In order to succeed on Pinterest, you need a solid Pinterest strategy. That’s a statement that you and I both know (especially if you’ve been on Pinterest for a while). The only problem is that the old Pinterest strategies that are in most paid courses are outdated.

So in this post I’ll walk you through the 3 Strategies that are currently working. Not only will these strategies stop the confusion that you’re currently experiencing on Pinterest but it will also grow your Pinterest account.

If you’d like to update your Pinterest strategy then definitely read through this post..

Also, make sure you read to the very end because I’ll put in a secret hack to Pinterest traffic growth that you won’t find anywhere on the internet.

So lets get into it.

Pinterest Strategy 1

Avoid Repinning & Do This Instead

Its not a secret anymore that Pinterest doesn’t favor accounts that do a ton of Repinning.

They send multiple emails like this talking about the creation of new pins.

But what is a repin?

A repin is when you save a pin directly from the app. Though, that only applies for business accounts. If a normal user saves your pins, the Pinterest algorithm considers that to be a save… And not a repin.

In short, if you’re running a Pinterest business account, the one strategy you should stop right this second is Repinning other people’s pins.

But what should you do instead?? Well, save directly from your website.

If you want to create replicates of one pin, then save that pin directly from your website and the Pinterest algorithm will think it’s a “Fresh pin”

But if you’re using this strategy, space out the replicates to go out every 7 days. If you don’t, the Pinterest algorithm will suppress your pins.

Pinterest Strategy 2

Create Fresh Pinterest pins Daily

To be precise, create fresh pins for the same blog post. You don’t have to create 100 blog posts to have 100 Pinterest pins.

If you have 5 blog posts, then each blog post can easily have 15 Pinterest pins pointing back to it.

The reason you create different pins is so that you’re able to target different keywords with each pin. That way your blog post stands a chance to be seen by different people.

Pinterest Strategy 3

Target Your Users Interests

Pinterest is becoming smarter and smarter every year and what that means is that it’s getting extremely good at recommending content to the right people who will engage with your content…

But… There’s a big but…

You need to tell it what your audience’s interests in two ways:

  • By saving other people’s pins that reflect your audience’s interests.
  • By creating those interest pins and saving them in your own account.

But the real question is how do you know what your audiences interests are?

How to Know What Your Audience’s Interests Are.

The best way to do it is to check the best performing pins in your industry… You know those ones that are ranking at the top for your desired results.

Then use the PinInspector tool to find out which user last saved the pin to their board.

99% of the time, you’ll find it’s a normal user who has saved the pin.

If it is, then search that person’s profile name and find out what other topics they’re interested in based on the boards they’ve created.

Then simply create the same topic pins for your own boards.

If you want an in-depth understanding of how to create interest pins, what keywords to target when it comes to interest pins, this comprehensive course will help you do just that.

The course belongs to Aimee. She’s a great teacher and I love how she goes in depth with actual facts from Pinterest engineering. Her course is the best in the market right now.

I have taken multiple courses on Pinterest marketing and this is by far the best with the most updated Pinterest strategy that will skyrocket your traffic.
